WHAT’S YOUR STYLE?
I consider myself a natural light, fine art wedding photographer. Fine art photography, as the name implies, is an approach that considers each photograph a true art form, compared to simply observing and clicking the camera. Fine art photography considers careful awareness to light, composition, texture, and colors in order to capture your wedding in the most beautiful way possible. I capture genuine, un-posed emotion and carefully anticipate each moment, reaction, or event just before it happens. I also capture formal portraits, details, and all the in-between moments.
WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I consider myself a hybrid photographer (digital + film), but I primarily shoot digital. On your wedding day I use 2 professional full-frame Canon cameras and my 35mm Canon EOS 1V. I also have back-up camera equipment, lighting equipment, extra memory cards and various lenses.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, I love traveling. I’m based in Dallas, Texas, but I shoot weddings all over Texas and I love to travel.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR FINAL PORTFOLIO?
Your digital portfolio will be available in 6 - 8 weeks! A preview of 10 images will be shared 1-2 weeks after your wedding day. Albums, prints will be available 8-12 weeks.
DO YOU WORK WITH SECOND SHOOTERS?
Not all weddings need a second shooter, so I provide input on whether or no I think you need one. My standard rule of thumb is that any wedding over 125 people would benefit from a second shooter, but there are so many other factors to consider like your overall timeline, family portraits, cocktail hour, etc. I’m highly involved in helping structure wedding day timelines, because I want to make sure things go smoothly and I want to avoid having the timeline feel rushed.
DO YOU DO FAMILY SESSIONS?
Yes, I LOVE family sessions. I love the candid moments, details, and portraits. Family sessions are more intimate and it’s a time I really value with my clients. I hope that my wedding clients some day become my family clients! If you’d like to learn more please reach out.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
Please reach out via the contact form on my website or email: email@example.com. I will let your know if I’m available. Then we’ll jump on a quick call or meet to chat about details and I’ll send you the save the date contract. I require a 30% non-refundable retainer fee to hold your wedding date.
WHAT IS YOUR WEDDING DAY APPROACH?
My style and wedding day approach is natural. I believe the honest, organic moments are the most important. That being said, I also capture formal portraits, fine art details, and all the in-between interactions. A month ahead of your wedding I will work with you on your timeline. I provide advice about timing, order of events, important parts of the day that sometimes get overlooked (like capturing photos of you two at sunset). We will also create a list of family portraits, review any important items that you want captured, and go over any other information I should know before your big day. On the day of your wedding I’m very organized. One of the most important things to do is to make sure the timeline makes sense for everyone. The last thing I want is for your day to feel rushed, so for this reason it’s important to work closely with you and/or your wedding planner to ensure the timeline feels smooth.
